Instagram has changed its image sizing and display guidelines to more closely align with how
a majority of users post on the platform, with a focus on portrait images. Where the previous
Instagram grid consisted of squares, the new grid will display your content in portrait form (4:5).
If you’re looking at your current grid and stressing about what your past content looks like after
this update, don’t worry. Every brand and account on Instagram will be experiencing the same
thing. Just start posting content in the updated portrait format and soon enough your grid will look
perfectly curated once again.
